What is Traksure?
Traksure is a new, hi-tech way to reduce the cost of motor insurance
for young,
male drivers who demonstrate an ongoing commitment to safe driving.
Who qualifies for
Traksure?
To qualify for Traksure,
you must:
· be aged 17-25
· hold a full or provisional driving licence
· own a standard car of not more than 1625cc (1.6L) –
(No Japanese Imports)
How does Traksure work?
· Traksure
involves fitting a small satellite device (which looks like a
video cassette) discreetly behind the glove compartment of your
car
· Traksure uses GPS and GSM satellite technology to monitor
your speed and location 24 hours a day
· Traksure identifies and rewards drivers who drive within
the speed limit
What are the benefits of Traksure?
· Traksure guarantees
that your premium will fall in the second year
· You will typically receive a 40% insurance discount over
the 3 years
· You will receive a 4 year No Claims Discount after completing
the programme
· Flexible payment methods are available
· You can choose Comprehensive or Third Party Fire &
Theft cover
Will I lose my Traksure policy
if break the speed limit?
No. The Traksure programme
is about a pattern of driving over a one or two year period.
It is not about penalising drivers who commit isolated driving
infringements. Tolerance levels, particularly in 30mph and 40mph
zones, are allowed
Are there any restrictions
on Traksure?
Yes.
· Vehicles must be less than 1625cc (less than 1400cc for
17 & 18 year olds)
· Certain vehicles are ineligible (e.g., Honda Civic or
Japanese Imports)
. Cover restricted to Republic of Ireland only
. Driving is confined to the policyholder only
· If you are a provisional licence holder, you must either:
a) Be a named driver on your parent's policy
Or
b) Provide evidence that you have taken at least six professional
driving lessons.
